Tour | Church of Scientology of Portland
All are welcome. Come in for a FREE tour of the public information center at the
Church of Scientology of Portland.

It is with great pride we welcome you to our Church.

Since 1971, we have served a growing congregation in the Willamette Valley. Today, we are honored to extend our help to all communities from our new landmark home.

Our Church realizes Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard’s vision that all Churches of Scientology become what he termed Ideal Organizations (Orgs). Ideal Orgs not only provide the ideal facilities to service Scientologists on their ascent to higher states of spiritual freedom, but they also serve as a home for the entire community and a meeting ground of cooperative effort to uplift people of all denominations.

To that end, we share our Church and our many social betterment and humanitarian programs with this city. More than ever, we look forward to working with every group and individual committed to achieving our common dream of a drug-free, crime-free and flourishing future for all.

Our doors are open. Our help is yours.

Construction of the Sherlock Building began early in 1893 for Forbes & Breeden, one of the largest retail furniture businesses west of the Mississippi at the time. The project was abandoned later that year, however, when the economic Panic of 1893 struck the nation.

On Saturday, May 11, the Church of Scientology Portland celebrated the grand opening of their new home in the city’s historic downtown quarter. More than 2,500 Scientologists and guests joined city and state dignitaries for the dedication ceremony.
